TURKISH ELEVATOR INDUSTRY STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN 7 CLIMATES AND FOUR CORNERS

Dear colleagues, my industry partners…

As you know, the Turkish elevator industry, which has established trust in the world with its universal designs and R&D studies that shape technology, recorded a turnover of approximately 3 billion dollars in 2020. Our sector, which employs approximately 35 thousand people, is not only in 81 provinces in 7 geographical regions, has succeeded in presenting its quality with its products and services to every corner of the world.

Our industry, which has a significant share in the market despite the tough competition conditions, has managed to increase its efficiency in the market despite the coronavirus pandemic that affected the world and the fluctuations in the exchange rates. Our country, which has turned the industrial volume from China to Turkey into an opportunity, has started to come together with the big elevator companies providing global service in the arena of competition. Our companies, which have achieved brand awareness around the world with the trust they provide to the sector in the manufacture and assembly of elevator products and their understanding of quality service, continue to work devotedly to make these achievements sustainable.

Our sector, which went to develop its export network in the face of the contraction in the construction sector, managed to expand and grow with each new day. The fact that 100-year old elevators are still being used in Europe has led to the need for revision. At this point, a significant part of the revision works of the old elevators is carried out by the Turkish elevator industry.

Behind the trust we have in our industry, the contribution of our industry stakeholders, who love their job and set their heart on this profession, cannot be denied.

Dear industry stakeholders,

As you know, two big and important elevator fairs were held in Istanbul 3 months apart. Domestic and foreign companies demonstrated great interest in these fairs, which were held at a time when the effects of the coronavirus pandemic decreased. The visitor interest towards the fairs, which provided a significant acceleration to the trade volume of our industry, was also significant. These activities, which are of great importance for our elevator industry and our country's economy, have also increased the expectations for our industry.

I have no doubt that the participation of our industry stakeholders in national and international fairs will continue to increase.

With these thoughts, I greet you all with respect and good wishes.
