IMPORTANT STEP FROM E&Q LIFT FOR

E&Q Lift, which was established in Konya with the participation of Dağ Mühendislik (DAG ENGINEERING) and managed to make a name for itself with the innovations it brought to the sector, is once again on the agenda with its robotic production move. E&Q Lift, which aims to save 20 percent from manpower with its robotic production facility, rolled up its sleeves so that 70 percent of its sales are based on exports. In the facility, which is built on an area of 20 thousand square meters, elevator production can be carried out in double shifts with the support of robotic production.

OPENING IN MAY 2022

30 years of experience of DAG ENGINEERING commissioned E&Q Lift, where new generation elevators are produced with robotic automation systems in Konya. E&Q Lift, which is preparing for the planned opening in the middle of 2022, started its activities with the production of elevator cabins, doors and panels in the first stage. General Manager of E&Q Lift, Kurtuluş Erdem Bayraktar, who opened the production area of E&Q Lift, which is followed with interest by the elevator industry, for Haber Elevator readers, explained the details of the robotic production system.

Reminding that E&Q Lift was established under the subsidiary of DAG Holding, Bayraktar explained that DAG Holding has 22 ongoing construction sites and said, “We are proud to be an important part of such a strong Holding.”

“WE PUSH THE LIMITS IN ROBOTIC PRODUCTION”

Stating that machine power is used in the production area and manpower is minimized, Bayraktar said, "We want to build a more effective structure, where the work accident rate is reduced to zero and the risk is reduced, thanks to robotic production."

Reminding that many companies want to switch to robotic production, Bayraktar likened the elevator production process to tailoring. Bayraktar said:

“Elevator production is tailor-made, every pit is different. It requires engineering and hard work. We have been working for a long time to integrate robots and machinery. At this point, we have made good progress”.

DECORATIVE DESIGNS WILL BE THE IDENTITY OF THE COMPANY

Noting that they are directing the designs with a very successful architect in his field, Bayraktar said, “We created a template on decorative solutions. Elevator is a task where everything is solved in technical design before operations such as cutting and twisting. We will reveal our own difference in this regard", he said.

Bayraktar continued his words as follows: “Our vision is to be a leading company that makes a name for itself in the international market with its innovative designs, with its "safety first" approach and adherence to ethical rules, as a result of the respect we have for the environment and people.

TARGETING EXPORTS OF 70 PERCENT

Bayraktar, who also talked about the export targets of the company, said, “We made our first export and Turkish (Domestic) shipments, the products have started to be used, positive feedback increases our enthusiasm. The trust of our customers makes us proud. Because these are the conditions created in an environment of complete trust. We are also strengthening our export team, our most important criteria here are honesty and investing in the right people.”

WE WANT TO BE IN THE WORLD ELEVATOR MARKET”

Explaining that E&Q Lift wants to take place in the world elevator market in the next five years, Bayraktar said, “We want to walk this path with our peers. Our aim is to show the quality and difference of our brand to the whole world. Our goal is also our priority,” he said.

Noting that they exhibited an idealistic approach to the elevator industry, Bayraktar continued his words as follows:

“Elevators are a fixture of the building. It is a significant investment amount for the building and also the only vertical transportation option. Wherever it is in the world, we have to ensure that we procure this product that will serve people in the most correct way. Increasing the total quality is very important for both us and for maximizing the quality of "Made in Turkey" brand. Therefore, we will work with the components of companies that have proven themselves with their quality and service, without compromising product quality, in order to make our name known with the products we will "undersign" and to keep our reference at the highest level. We will strengthen our presence without risking the loss of reference. We will stand behind our product and our work will be shaped accordingly. We will act with the awareness that every right thing we do will bring our country, and therefore our people, to a better place.

NOT SUPPLIER, SOLUTION PARTNER

We want to enjoy our work and be proud of the out-product. We want to be in close contact with our customers whenever there is a problem. We aim to be a solution partner, not a supplier. We aim to be known as a brand that offers the service we expect ourselves to be given.”

ÖMER NASUHİ HASKUL: “AN INVESTMENT TO RESOUND IN THE INDUSTRY HAS BEEN MADE”

E&Q Lift Factory Manager Ömer Nasuhi Haskul announced that E&Q Lift has made significant investments as of the beginning of 2020. Haskul said, "We are serving on a closed area of 10,500 square meters and administrative offices of 1,500 square meters, a total of 12 thousand closed and 20 thousand square meters of open space in Konya."

Haskul underlined that they started the manufacturing process for the production of elevator doors, cabins and control panels; “We have established a system where our lasers, punches, press brakes, panel bending centres, powder-coating shops and door welds will run with the help of robots. These are just the first investment. When the system is established, the ongoing process will be on the studies related to Industry 4.0”. Emphasizing that the production process between the machine and the robot will be improved with the additional robot line to be established, Haskul stated that the installation of the machine park has been completed and put into use, and that these investments will continue.

ROBOTIC MANUFACTURING REDUCE THE NEED FOR MAN POWER

Emphasizing that they have a production capacity of 40 packages of elevators per week with a single shift system of 8 hours over 5 days a week, Haskul noted that thanks to robotic production, flexible working hours can be observed and these order-based figures can reach 100 units per week.

Haskul said that the robot power in the facility significantly affects the manpower: “10 robots means an advantage of 10 personnel. This means an advantage of approximately 20 percent in personnel costs. Robot power will make a significant contribution in terms of time and workforce.”

Haskul made the following evaluations regarding the planned investments:

“Installation is a time-consuming process. This is related to both the investment and the customer portfolio that the company will settle within the sector. In the second plan, it was planned to continue as a door fabrication facility only. Alongside this facility, we will have additional investments in cabin, door and panel production and in the next process, we will invest in different production/fabrication groups. We are planning significant investments. We will share them again in time.

Our veteran friends in the industry need the brain power here. We are here to facilitate their work and to provide just-in-time solutions. I hope to achieve great success together.”
